Software Engineer I

I currently work as a Junior Full Stack Engineer at Teton Ridge. Some of the technologies I work with regularly are React.js, Next.js, Typscript and Javascript.

My main focus at Teton Ridge has been the development of new features in the Teton Ridge+ application, as well as bug fixes and improvements to the current features. I'm excited to continue leveling up my development skills working at a great company.

Teacher's Assistant and Student

I took my abilities as a programmer to the next level upon admission to Actualize's 17-week coding bootcamp. I learned how to create a full stack web application using a Ruby on Rails backend and Vue.js frontend. Upon completion of the course, I was brought on as a teacher assistant, helping future programmers hone their skills.

Local Gigs App

The culmination of my learnings at Actualize: Local Gigs. A place where concertgoers can find all the music events happening locally on a map, and music artists can search for venues and post their upcoming local shows, as well as have their own profiles where potential fans can hear their music via an embedded Spotify link. The app utilizes a Rails backend framework, a Vue.js frontend, persists the data using PostgreSQL, as well as using multiple API endpoints using the Yelp Fusion API and the Mapbox library. I'm excited to continue to add more features to the project.

Music!

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention my love of playing and writing music and attach a link to my most recent EP release, Hold Me Down. Writing a good song is not dissimilar from writing good, readable code. Every word has intention behind it, and without good structure, you don't have a good product. My curiosity and enthusiasm for programming stems from the overlapping philisophies shared between the two disciplines.
